The Detroit Thanksgiving Parade is not just any parade; it's a cherished tradition that unites families, friends, and communities from all corners of the city. Every year, this extraordinary event captures the essence of gratitude and togetherness, offering a moment to reflect on the blessings that surround us.

Again this year America's Thanksgiving Parade in Detroit is nominated for the title of "Best Holiday Parade in America" by USA Today in its 10Best Readers' Choice Awards.

"Holiday parades across the country bring plenty of cheer in the form of creative floats, marching bands, Santa and his sleigh, and millions of twinkling lights", USA Today said.
"10Best has teamed with a jolly panel of experts to nominate 20 of the top holiday parades throughout the U.S., and we need your help to name which ones are the very best".

This isn't the first time Detroit has been in the spotlight with its seasonal parade filled with gigantic floats, eye-catching decorations, and towering balloons showcasing beloved characters, America's Thanksgiving Parade is the defending champion having won the title as the Best Holiday Parade in the U.S. last year, as well as in 2018 & 2019.

"We are honored to have been named the best in the country in 2022, and excited that USA TODAY nominated America's Thanksgiving Parade presented by Gardner White as one of the best holiday parades in the country," Tony Michaels, President & CEO of The Parade Company told CBS News Detroit. "This near-century tradition in Detroit is full of heart and brings us together in a very special way -- from families gathering on Woodward Avenue Thanksgiving morning to the millions of people watching around the country."

Here's how you can help Detroit as it vies for the top spot yet again. Voting is open through 11:59 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29th. Voters can cast their vote once a day on USA Today's website by clicking here.
