Five Hilariously Clever and Silly Michigan Business Names

There are many ways to brand a business. I just got back from a Florida vacation which is home to a restaurant called 'Dirty Dick's Crab Shack' and a fishing store called 'The Master Baiter'. So I decided to go on a quest to find some of the most clever, funniest and silliest business names here in the Great Lakes state.

McNasty's Saloon

Located in New Boston which is southwest of Detroit, McNasty's has been family owned for almost four decades. With a name like McNasty's you'd think they would have gone under years ago, but they are apparently still going strong.

Breaking Buds

No longer in business, a great name for a weed shop in Battle Creek that cracks me up is 'Breaking Buds'. This name obviously plays off of the TV hit 'Breaking Bad' but offers a different (and legal) drug.

Surprisingly not a pot dispensary, Royal Pot offers authentic Chinese and American food in East Lansing.

Snappers on The Water

Obviously a name with intended inuendo involved, Snappers on the Water is on Bennett Lake Road in Fenton. They're closed on Mondays and don't open until 2 on Tuesdays. Outside of that you can get your snapper on right on the water.

Kooters in the Field

The sister location of Snappers on the Water, Kooters in the Field is located on M-21 just outside of Corunna.
