A Michigan woman turned some coupons for free lottery tickets into a big win, grabbing $500,000 from the Michigan Lottery.

The woman from Wayne County says she won some coupons for free tickets by playing the Michigan Lottery's Spin to Win game and used those coupons to buy a few instant tickets. She then reinvested the money she won from the instant tickets and that turned out to be a wise move.

"When I scratched those off, I had $10 in winnings and used it to buy more tickets."

The lucky player, who has chosen to remain anonymous said she needed a little guidance and asked the store clerk at the Taylor Party Store on Telegraph Road what he recommended.

"I asked the clerk what was lucky, and he told me that the 20X game was new, so I chose that ticket," she told the Michigan Lottery. "When I scratched it off and scanned it with my Lottery app, confetti started flying and I cried tears of joy."

A Little Insurance For Her Family

The player didn't say that she has her sights on making any big purchases, indicating that she plans to save her prize money.

"I feel like this was heaven-sent. It feels so good to know me and my family will be alright," she said.

The 'Floating' House on Lake Fenton

This 4,700-square-foot home is surrounded by wetlands.

And although this home has a lot to offer, we're particularly impressed with the main bathroom. A standard toilet side by side with a bidet is a win, any day of the week.
