The Jackson family feud keeps spiraling out of control. After the weekend drama where matriarch Katherine Jackson was M.I.A., news of an altercation emerged. Now, TJ Jackson, the son of Michael‘s brother Tito, has been named the temporary guardian of Michael’s three kids.

Katherine, 82, left TJ, 34, in charge of the charge of the children when she left the home she shares with them on July 15. Her nephew Trent filed a missing persons report over the weekend.

“We have reason to believe that Mrs. Jackson has been held against her will,” her attorney Sandra Ribera told Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff at a hearing Wednesday (July 25), according to CNN.

As a result, Beckloff has suspended Katherine’s status as custodian of Prince, Paris and Blanket. The judge fears that third parties are preventing her from performing her duties as the children’s legal guardian.

The judge also ordered “that the children not be removed from California without a court order, by any person.” Both Diana Ross, named as a backup guardian by Michael in his will, and Debbie Rowe, the biological mother of Michael’s two eldest children, must be given notice of the order.

TJ’s custody ruling order will remain in effect until next month’s hearing. However, if Katherine returns home sooner, her custody of the kids could be restored.

The Jackson family matriarch was incommunicado for nine days. She finally contacted family on Tuesday, July 24.

TJ himself said that he was unnerved by the conversation he had with Katherine when she phoned home. “I’ve never heard my grandmother talk like that,” he said about their discussion. “She wasn’t sharp. Her words were slurred. Her choice of vocabulary, I never heard her use those phrases.”

Katherine’s other attorney Perry Sanders said that he met with her children Jermaine and Janet on Tuesday at a Tucson-area spa, but did not see or speak to his client. They were attempting to sort out the controversy regarding Katherine’s location.

This story gets weirder by the minute. We hope Katherine is okay.
