Jas Prince and Young Money Reach $11 Million Settlement Over Dispute Involving Drake

Young Money and Jas Prince have reportedly reached an $11 million settlement over a dispute involving Drake. Jas Prince apparently introduced Drizzy to Lil Wayne's record label back in 2007, and now Young Money owes Prince millions in unpaid royalties.

Jas Prince was suing Young Money for the unpaid amounts he was owed, but the two sides ultimately decided to kill the lawsuit and ink the settlement.

According to Bossip, in court, Jas Prince said he discovered Drake in '07 and signed him to Aspire Music Group. Then, Prince got Drizzy the Cash Money deal, and the label then agreed to pay 22 percent of all Drake's advances and net profits to Prince. However, Prince never saw that money.

Jay Prince initially took Cash Money to court last year in a separate suit. The record label claimed they signed the 22 percent deal with Aspire - not Prince specifically. Cash Money argued that Prince needed to take up the issue with Aspire.

In other Drizzy-related news, NBA superstar Kevin Durant recently named the OVO rapper his favorite rapper in an interview with Genius. KD tells rap journalist Rob Markman, “[Drake] is my favorite rapper. When you get a shout out in a song, you look around and see if anyone else heard it. You feel, ‘somebody recognized me.' ... Me and a lot of other people were wondering if Drake was coming back with some new music. When I have a game, he texts me or Snapchats me and we talk about stuff. I’m sure when he got in the booth, he was feeling it a little bit and put it in there. It went together nice. I guess he just wanted me to hear it as I was going through the album. Once I heard it, I was like, ‘That was dope.'”
