Time Magazine honored Jay- Z with the cover story of the 100 Most Influential People. Mr. Carter joins a list with names such as President Barack Obama, Beyonce', and even Mrs. Michelle Obama, just to name a few.

This cover story is a testament of his Hov's grind to success and it is written by current Mayor of New York City Michael Bloomberg, WOW if thats not worth something.

It seemed fitting that Mayor Bloomberg would be the one to write this story on Jay-Z. Bloomberg and Jay-Z share a common ground that is beneficial to the city in which they love and the overall American Dream.

Here is a brief excerpt from the Time Magazine:

He’s an artist-entrepreneur who stands at the center of culture and commerce in 21st century America, and his influence stretches across races, religions and regions. He’s never forgotten his roots — “Empire State of Mind” was a love song to our city — and as a co-owner of the NBA Nets, he helped bring a major league sports team back to Brooklyn, not far from his old neighborhood. In nearly everything he’s tried, he’s found success. (He even put a ring on Beyoncé.) And in doing so, he’s proved that the American Dream is alive and well.

Jay-Z donned the cover as the Number 1 Titan coming in front of Michael Kors, Samsung Ceo Oh-Hyun-Kwon and Lebron James. The works he has done in the 17 years since he first dropped his album 'Reasonable Doubt' is ridiculous- Rocawear, Roc Nation, Roc Nation Sports, Brooklyn Nets, what more can I say?
