Drake and Kendrick Lamar aren’t the only rappers winning right now. Joey Bada$$’ has been garnering rave reviews for his All-Amerikkkan Bada$$, which is another great rap album of 2017. On Monday (May 1), the Brooklyn rhymer returned with a winning clip for “Victory,” which doesn’t appear on his latest project.
The Mountain Dew-sponsored video features Joey spitting basketball references and fist-pumping lyrics amid a colorful aesthetic of neon lights and fluorescent paint. The visual also includes cameos from NBA stars like Russell Westbrook, Jaylen Brown, CJ McCollum, Myles Turner and others.
The video was originally intended for the All-Star festivities, but you can expect to hear it more during the NBA playoffs. It’s an anthemic song and the basketball-inspired clip is perfect for promoting the upcoming NBA games.
