Flint's Jon Connor held nothing back with his latest track 'Fresh Water For Flint'

With everyone talking about the Flint Water Crisis, the city has been bombarded with media attention, cries for help from its residents, and cases on cases of water. While the support is nice and much needed, the political side of this situation has been holding back a solution for this crisis.

Jon Connor is one of Flint's very own, and hearing his side of the story is powerful. Opening up the song with a quote from Flint's Michael Moore, the emcee goes in with a message that will not be ignored.

"The song is basically about the situation going on that nobody sees," Jon says to XXL over the phone from his mom's house in Flint. "I lived in Flint up until two, three years ago, so being in California and seeing the way it's being portrayed on the news, seeing the deterioration of my city, its all that frustration and emotion. I feel like I'm the voice of Flint, so I'm just trying to verbalize how all the natives feel."
