Kanye West hit the Saturday Night Live stage for their 44th season premiere last night (Sept. 29) and put on a star-studded performance that included Lil Pump, Kid Cudi, Teyana Taylor and 070 Shake. But another highlight - or lowlight depending on your perspective - came after the version that aired on TV stopped and the Chicago artist went on a rant about his support of President Trump.

Kanye performed not two, but three tracks on the long-running sketch comedy show including "I Love It" with Jetski, dressed as bottles of Perrier sparkling mineral water and Fiji water, "We Got Love" with Teyana Taylor and "Ghost Town" with Cudi and Shake. Following his set, Kanye wanted to get something off his chest and got political while rocking a Donald Trump campaign hat. Chris Rock, who was in the audience, captured some clips of the speech which received mixed reviews.

“The Blacks want always Democrat," he said. "You know it’s like the plan they did, to take the fathers out the home and put them on welfare. Does anybody know about that? That’s a Democratic plan.”

West added, "So many times, I talk to a White person about this and they say, 'How could you like Trump, he's racist?' Well uh, if I was concerned about racism I would have moved out of America a long time ago."

'Ye even claimed he was bullied for choosing to wear his Make America Great Again hat on the SNL stage. "They bully me. They bullied me backstage. They told me don't go out there with that hat on. They bullied me," he snapped. "And they say I'm in the sunken place. You wanna see the sunken place? OK, Ima listen to y'all now. I almost put my Super Man cape on, cause this means you can't tell me what to do. Follow your heart and stop following your mind."

The speech has already drawn reactions from the hip-hop community, namely Swizz Beatz who posted a pointed response on Instagram. "We love you, we not bullying you. But you gotta stop. That shit ain't right," Swizz said before playing an anti-MAGA hat track. "FUCK THE MAGA HAT @kanyewest #kanyewest‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️" he captioned the video. "#Fuckthemagahat we must face our POISON in order to POISE ON! Enough is enough Blessings #poison NO CAP."
