Kendrick Lamar is in high demand as a featured artist on other people's tracks, but it looks like he has a wish list of his own for future collaborations. During a recent conversation with Swizz Beatz, the DAMN. rapper reveals that he wants to collab with the veteran producer one day.

Swizz originally put up the video to get Kendrick's reaction to his upcoming producer battle with Timbaland, which is where the "DNA." rapper speaks on his admiration for the New York hitmaker and his contributions to hip-hop.

"Being a student of rap, when I first started rhyming, what I used to do is check the fucking credits," Kendrick says. "This is something that I don't know, you know, the kids are doing today, but I'm going to explain to you. Checking the credits, this is how I know I wanna work with Swizz Beatz one day. I remember my favorite fucking beats—checking the credits—say Swizz Beatz on them."

It does seem odd that Kendrick and Swizz haven't been able to get in the studio together to collaborate yet, as Swizzy's 5-year-old son, Egypt, was credited as a producer on a track off of K. Dot's untitled unmastered. project of 2016.

Hopefully we can look forward to a future collaboration from K. Dot and Swizz in the future, but for now, we're gearing up for the producer battle with Timbo.
