Kim Kardashian Says She Can’t Babysit Kanye West
On the season 16 premiere of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which aired Sunday night (March 31), Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s marriage is put to the test as they have to deal with Rhymefest’s perceived mishandling of Donda’s House, a non-profit organization founded by 'Ye, Rhymefest and Donnie Smith in 2011.
In the episode, Kim is extremely frustrated and feels that Rhymefest is abusing Kanye’s friendship. "He lets all of his friends back in that always publicly talk shit about him,” she tells her mom, Kris Jenner, adding, “I can’t babysit him and figure out who’s fucking him over today...It is so frustrating to me to just see him not care and let people walk all over him.”
"I don’t have the energy for it. It’s a lot. I’ll figure it out,” she concludes.
For those who may be unfamiliar, last May, Donda's House Inc., was struggling financially and Rhymefest, who co-founded the organization, implied that Kanye had abandoned the non-profit as well as the kids of Chicago. This prompted Kim to jump on Twitter and slam Rhymefest for how he handled the funding for Donda's House and taking advantage of Kanye.
Donda's House distanced itself from the situation by changing its name to Art of Culture, Inc last year.
Back on KUWTK, Kim and Kanye eventually confronted Rhymefest and allowed him to tell his side of the story. The rapper explained that he was frustrated with Kanye not helping him promote Donda’s House and overacted. Kanye said the fact that he “was going through some shit” as the reason why he wasn’t around to assist Rhymefest.
In the end, Rhymefest apologized for how he handled the situation and the trio appeared to make up.
