The new roundabout in Grand Blanc Township will be done by the end of the month, and drivers need to know how to handle the improved intersection.

I have no idea why, but there are a lot of people who are afraid, confused, and just plain don't like roundabouts. Despite all of the evidence that they actually reduce accidents and traffic slow downs.

The new roundabout in Grand Blanc Township at Belsay and Hill roads is about to open at the end of July. The closure and construction at the intersection has been a huge headache for everyone that lives nearby. The finished roundabout should be an extremely welcome site, but some people are so anti-roundabout that they are still bitter.

The video above from Mdot explains how to handle a complex roundabout, and waters it down for the simple, one lane roundabout as well.

The main rule is simple: Once you're in the roundabout, you don't stop! Keep going until you exit, and are on your way.

Good luck, and make sure to count how many idiots will drive through the center of the roundabout in the middle of the night.
