Lil Xan Performs 2Pac’s “California Love” Following Controversial Comments About Late Rapper
Lil Xan has had a target on his back since making controversial comments about the late great Tupac Shakur. Now, it appears the rapper is trying to make amends. During a show in Cali on Friday (March 23), Xan performed the 'Pac hit "California Love."
In video that has surfaced from the show, the rapper sings along with the Dr. Dre track, while the crowd goes nuts. He throws in a few ad-libs and lines from the chorus for good measure but doesn't attempt rap the verses.
Since calling 'Pac's music boring, Xan has been feeling the wrath of the rap icon's supporters. Waka Flocka wants to ban the up-and-coming rhymer from hip-hop. Actor Michael Rapaport verbally assaulted the young rapper on Instagram.
"Little buck tooth, rabbit face muthafucka," Rapaport snapped. "You need to apologize, alright? And you don't need to apologize to Tupac or Tupac's fans. You need to apologize to whoever the fuck raised you, or didn't raise you, for raising you to be a dumb fuck. You don't get to speak on anything that has to do with hip-hop."
Rich Homie Quan got in on the act, calling Xan the wackest rapper out. The Cali rapper even had to flee from a mob of young 'Pac fans who pressed him in L.A., requiring a police escort to get out of the situation.
Xan's debut album Total Xanarchy drops on April 6.
