Lil Yachty is in album mode.

Over the weekend (Aug. 10), Lil Boat was on Instagram Live with Trippie Redd when the Ohio native asked Yachty about the status of his next album. After a slight pause, the Georgia rapper revealed that his next album will drop in October.

“When the album dropping, bruh?” Trippie asked Yachty. “October, bro," Yachty replied. "And that's the first time I said that, too."

After getting hype about the incoming project, Trippie suggests that both rappers should get together to record something for the LP. Both former XXL Freshmen have linked up in the past for their 2018 collaboration "66" off Yachty's Lil Boat 2 mixtape.

Yachty doesn't name the album he's talking about, but there's a high likelihood he's speaking on Lil Boat 3which would be the latest entry in his Lil Boat series. Back in May, the Quality Control Music rapper revealed that the project was on the way in an Instagram post featuring an unreleased song. At the end of the video, the words "LB3 Coming Soon" appear on the screen.

At the moment, there's no confirmation on which project will come first. Yachty gave Trippie the month in which his album will be released, but he didn't confirm an exact date.
