The Lions were on the verge of going 4-1 when Alex Henery missed 3 field goals leading to a Lions loss and his release from the team.

The Lions took on the Bills with 3 of their top offensive players injured, and still managed to have a solid chance to win the game.  In the closing seconds, Alex Henery was called on to make a 48 yard field goal to win the game.  He had already missed two earlier in the game, and knew that this one must go in.

He missed . . . The Lions lost  . . . and now there is a "Help Wanted" sign at Ford Field.

The Lions have been monumentally bad, but the kicking game was always exceptionally good.  From Eddie Murray to Jason Hanson, the Lions have usually been forced to rely on the leg of dependable kickers.

That's why it's so ironic now considering the firepower that the Lions have, we are losing games because of inconsistent kicking.  The Lions have missed at least one field goal in every game this season.  Read that sentence again, and then start stretching your leg.

I wonder what 'Kickalicious' is up to nowadays.
