Fans may need to hold off on the talk of Lupe Fiasco canceling his albums. Just one week after Lupe claimed he was scrapping all the LPs he intended to release, a rumor has emerged that the rapper will drop a new album in February.

A Reddit user who attended Lupe's show in Cleveland, Ohio claims the rapper announced plans to drop a different version of his DROGAS album on Feb. 10, 2017. "He said he could never fully give himself to an album while with Atlantic, so the real DROGAS will be released after a 'lite' version with Atlantic," the user wrote.

XXL has reached out to Lupe's reps for comment. The decision would be a dramatic change in direction after the "Hip-Hop Saved My Life" MC hinted at retirement just one week ago.

“I get the hint God," he wrote on Twitter. "Yo Lupe fans it’s been fun and I hope you’ve had fun. I’m officially not releasing anymore music. Albums cancelled."

Lupe's frustration seemed to reach a boiling point after he was accused of using anti-Semitic lyrics on his new song "N.E.R.D." This led to a Twitter argument with Jonathan Greenblatt, the CEO of the Anti-Defamation League.

"I didn’t call [music executives] dirty because they were Jewish I called them dirty because their horrible fucking human beings @JGreenblattADL," Lupe wrote in one response.

Lupe was very willing to defend his controversial lyrics in aftermath of the song's release. He even called out former Warner Music CEO Lyor Cohen and the company’s current CEO Craig Kallman, alleging that both scammed him out of money.
