The Lyrid Meteor Shower is in full swing, and tonight might be your best chance to see the show in the sky.

The meteor shower will be active for about two weeks, but NASA is reporting that the best viewing times are April 22nd and 23rd.  They recommend watching between 10:30pm and Midnight or just before dawn.  As an added bonus, the skies over Genesee County should be clear tonight, providing for a great viewing experience.

The Lyrid should produce around 10 meteors an hour during its peak.
