Mark Farner is stepping up to help Mid Michigan flood victims. The Flint native and former Grand Funk Railroad member, started a Go Fund Me page to help, with all proceeds going directly to the Michigan Red Cross.

As you will hear in the video above, Mark is asking for everyone to 'give a little', if you are able to. Mark and his wife made the first donation of $2000 dollars. As I type right now, $7700 dollars has been raised. That is awesome!

I have had the opportunity to interview Mark Farner over the years, and I can tell you from first hand experience, he is a class act. I should not really even call our interactions interviews. It is really a conversation. He is always kind and open, and will talk about anything. I don't think this comes as much of a surprise by his songwriting, Mark Farner is one hell of a story teller. The last time we spoke was just last year, prior to his show at the Capitol Theatre in downtown Flint. He was gracious as always.

Like Mark mentioned, if you are able to donate, please do. From five dollars to 100 dollars, every dollar counts. A lot of our fellow Michiganders are starting all over from scratch since the flooding. This money is going to help a lot of families get back on their feet. Thank you in advance for donating, and thank you to Mark Farner for doing this.
