Mark Ingram continues to do great things, even though he hasn't carried the ball one time yet in the NFL. Due to the lockout that is still going on, some players are enjoying an extended vacation. Flint's Son Ingram is making good use of his time. As it's been well documented, Mark's father Mark Ingram Sr, who played 10 years in the NFL is now incarcerated. And due to growing up dealing with that Mark Jr. wants other kids to know that they can get passed this time in their lives.

I don't know Mark personally but he seems like a really good dude. Especially because he's only 21 years old. That says a lot that instead of "BMF"ing or just wildin' out, he's doing something commendable and worth while with his young NFL career. Mark and his sister grew up with their Father in and out of jail at times and now doing a 7 year bid. So Mark knows first hand the damage that having a parent or two in jail has on youngsters.

“The foundation is something that’s real important to me,” Ingram told WWLTV.com last week at its launch.  ”It’s something I’m living, something I’m going through, something my sisters and I have experienced off and on throughout our

lives.” He goes on to say;

“I just want to let them know that although you have a parent who is gone or he or she is incarcerated, you can still be whatever you want to be, do whatever you want to do. You just have to put your mind to it.” He told Bradley Handwerger.

Mark's first activity with the kids was a trip to a local zoo in New Orleans over the weekend! This is the type of stuff that doesn't get reported but if he ever got into a fight at a bar, they would BLOW the story up! Good stuff Mark and way to rep Flint in a positive way!
