The Detroit Lions will have a couple of representatives at this weekends NFL Pro Bowl, as Matthew Stafford and Golden Tate have been selected to play.

Stafford will replace Peyton Manning who withdrew because of an injury, and Tate will replace Jeremy Maclin.

Both Tate and Stafford put up numbers that would warrant a Pro Bowl appearance without other players backing out.  Stafford threw for 4,257 yards and Tate caught 99 passes for 1,331 yards.

Ndamukong Suh was supposed to be at the Pro Bowl as well but opted out shortly after he was chosen to play.

The Pro Bowl has become a joke lately, and is basically a way for the NFL to kill time during the off week prior to the Super Bowl.  Still, it's good to see the Lions represented after having such a great season.  Check out some of the highlights of last season below.
