Max Scherzer Leaving Detroit, Agrees To Deal With The Nationals [Video]
Max Scherzer has agreed to a 7 year deal with the Washington Nationals, ending a great run in Detroit.
As a life long Tigers fan . . . this sucks.
The Tigers did do what they could to keep Scherzer, offering him a six year deal worth $144 Million in the spring. In the end, Scherzer chose to wait till the end of the year to worry about a new contract, and will now join another former Tiger, Doug Fister, in Washington.
The Nationals now have the best rotation going into the 2015 season without a doubt.
The Tigers did manage to sign David Price to a one year deal worth almost $20 Million.
Do you think the Tigers are going to be able to make another run for the World Series now that Max is gone?
