Those two names topped the list of the most popular baby names for the year according to Spectrum Health Butterworth in Grand Rapids, and they ought to know. Spectrum delivers more babies than any other hospital in the state of Michigan clocking in at 6800 babies delivered there so far this year.

One new name to the top 10 list has a little bit of an interesting history to it. The name Eleanor, Came in at number seven, definitely has a more old world style flair to it. Interesting enough it’s not the first time the name is found itself in the top 10. The last time the name Eleanor it was in the top 10, on the national list, just happen to be 1918 the year of the Spanish Flu pandemic.

Not to be outdone in the thought process that everything old is new again,the boys name Leo found a spot in the top ten for the first time making his way to 9th place The name Leo was a big hit back in 1903.
