Mid Michigan Animal Shelter Helping Kittens From Hurricane Harvey
Hurricane Harvey spelled tragedy for everything in its path, including animals that were in local shelters. Now a local Humane Society is stepping up to help out.
The Humane Society of Bay County is taking in 18 new kittens from an animal shelter in Texas. The kittens were already being housed at the shelter, but with the influx of newly lost and injured animals, they need more room.
The kittens will be available for adoption after they go through regular checkups from a local vet.
This may seem insignificant when thinking about the dollar amount of damage that has been done, but it does show how the storm has impacted every aspect of life in Texas.
Remember that if you would like to help, you can easily donate $10 to the Red Cross by texting HARVEY to 90999.
