Flint Police found 17 dead dogs scattered on Rankin St. in Flint this week, and are trying to figure out who could do something like this.

The 1200 Rankin has turned into a trash filled street with abandoned homes lining the road.  Nearby residents have claimed that the road has turned into a dumping ground for trash, but nothing this disturbing.

Police are trying to figure out if the dogs are connected to a dog fighting ring, and who my be responsible for such a despicable act.

After living a lifetime in Flint, I thought that I had seen and heard about the worst that could be dished out.  This story absolutely throws that out the window.  If police find out that there is one group of people behind these dogs, I hope they throw the book at them.

Don't get me wrong, people killing people is disturbing, and a fact that we in Flint have to live with every day.  People killing defenseless animals is on a different level of scum though.

I am still trying to wrap my head around one city block being littered with the bodies of 17 dead dogs . . . How does something like that happen?!

If you know anything about this please do not hesitate to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
