MSU is going ahead with plans for the annual Spring Football Game.

The Michigan State University Athletic Department has announced plans for the annual Spring Football Game at Spartan Stadium. This game will follow protocols and guidelines established by the MDHHS and allow for a limited number of spectators. This event will feature a 10-15 period practice with individual and group drills along with live scrimmage periods.

When and where is the Spring Football Game taking place?

The Spring Football Game will happen this Saturday, April 24th at 2 pm inside Spartan Stadium.

What protocols and guidelines will the game be following?

If you plan on attending the game, here is what you can expect.

  • Face coverings must be worn by everyone both indoors and outdoors while on property owned or governed by Michigan State University or while participating in MSU-related or MSU-sponsored activities.
  • Due to capacity restrictions, only around 6,000 free digital tickets will be available and only the lower-bowl seating areas will be used.
  • Email addresses will be required when getting tickets and ticket holders will be emailed a mandatory health screening form 24 hours before the event. That health screen form must be shown to stadium personnel before entering.
  • Concession stands will be open in both the north and south concourses and all purchases require cashless payments.
  • The lower-bowl seating areas will be divided into five areas. Spectators will be given a color-coded wristband to sit in assigned seating areas throughout the stadium.

Where can I get tickets?

Tickets were made available yesterday for Spartan Fund members in the top three donor levels. Today tickets are available for other spectators on Michigan State's official athletic website, msuspartans.com. The university has also reserved 500 tickets for just students. Spectators can secure up to four tickets to the event.

If you can't go to the game, the event will also be televised on the Big Ten Network and the TCF Bank Spartan Media Network.
