Whitmer Says New Guidance From Michigan Health Department is Coming Soon
It looks like we're going to be getting some new guidance from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
Whitmer mentioned earlier this week during a turkey giveaway that we could expect some new COVID guidance at some point this week.
Do we really need more guidance? I mean, we've been dealing with COVID-19 for almost two years, I think we know what we need to do at this point.
Just last week the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services released an advisory urging people to wear masks at indoor gatherings regardless of their vaccination status. That advisory also recommended that businesses require employees and customers to wear face masks. I've yet to walk into a business that requires facemasks. Or maybe I just haven't noticed the sign on the door.
Thankfully, Whitmer doesn't feel that the state needs lockdowns like we had last year. Honestly, I don't think people would go for something like that again anyway.
Gov.Whitmer:
As the holidays happen I’m concerned. We've got multiple generations of families gathering, some of whom will bring COVID into those events, and sadly some family members could get sick.
Just last week I recovered from COVID-19. I'm not going to lie, it was brutal for a couple of days. The worst of it for me was having a fever nonstop and brutal body aches. I felt like absolute garbage. I'm glad I was vaccinated because I think my battle would have been a hell of a lot worse than it was.
