New Holiday Starry Lights Experience Coming to the Ford House
The former lakeside estate of Edsel & Eleanor Ford is about to sparkle and shine this holiday season. The grounds of the Grosse Pointe estate will be the site for the first Starry Night Experience.
Visitors will be able to gather the family and stroll through the Ford House estate’s pathways to and experience a wintry starry-sky themed show. The new event will feature projected animations, interactive light features, and even vintage home videos of Edsel and Eleanor’s family in wintertime projected onto the façade of the Fords’ home.
The estate, which the Ford's decided to call their home in 1928, will come alive with magical lights throughout the entire holiday season. Starry Lights Experience will be offered Thursdays through Sundays starting November 18th and run all the way through January 9th.
After enjoying a illuminated stroll around the estate ground, you'll be able to grab a hot beverage or snack at the concession stand. You can also enjoy dinner at the estate restaurant, The Continental, but you may want to call ahead for reservations since it may be busy due to the event.
Hours for the event will be 6pm to 9pm during the month of November, and then 5pm to 6pm in December and January. Tickets prices for the Starry Lights Experience at the Ford House, which are now on sale, are as follows: Adults are $20; Children are $12. Day of tickets: $25 adults, $15 for children.
