Northern Michigan Beach Shut Down Due To High E. Coli Levels
High E. coli bacteria levels found from a samples taken from a Northern Michigan beach has lead to a no body contact order.
Residents in Traverse City and tourists all over the state will have to find a new place to swim after new test results state that Sunset Park is not safe enough to play around in. The sample was taken on Monday and the beach currently has over 1,000 of the E. coli bacteria per 10 millimeters.
The beach will be shut down until further notice and visitors are being asked to avoid all bodily contact.
