One Downtown Flint Restaurant Closes, While Another Expands
Diners in downtown Flint will have one less choice now that Merge has closed, but Table & Tap is taking advantage of the new space.
Merge, an Asian inspired noodle restaurant, posted the news of their closing on their Facebook page.
It saddens us to announce that we will be shutting our doors for good. We would like to thank everyone for the two amazing years we've had in Downtown Flint. We will be merging our space and resources with our sister company Table & Tap in order to focus on bringing the highest quality BBQ and craft beer experience to Downtown Flint.
Table & Tap will take over the new space immediately, with a soft grand opening today.
According to MLive, the initial changes will be minor, but there will be some very noticeable changes in the months to come. The focus will be on more seating, and a new area where patrons can get BBQ by the pound, along with fresh made sandwiches.
Are you upset by the closing of Merge? Even though this will be a good thing for Table & Tap, it does reduce the variety in downtown Flint.
