Things are going to get a little ugly this summer for those looking to travel Perry Road between Genesee Road and Saginaw Street in Grand Blanc.

According to ABC12, the city of Grand Blanc is hoping to shave the roadway down from four lanes down to three lanes. The two eastbound and westbound travel lanes would be converted to a single lane in each direction with a center turn lane and bike lanes on each side.

The project will be rather inexpensive when it comes to construction as they just have to grind down a little bit of the asphalt and remark it and restripe it.

I'm not against the idea but it will be a headache for a few weeks this summer. I'm also kind of concerned with the amount of traffic we'll be dealing with through that mile stretch since we're essentially losing two lanes.
