Sir Mix-A-Lot and the Seattle Symphony have created a version of 'Baby Got Back' so good, that even the people in the crowd couldn't help but get up and dance.

This unlikely pairing is part of the Seattle Symphony's, 'Sonic Evolution' project.  The symphony describes the project like this:

The Sonic Evolution project creates a bridge between the Symphony and Seattle's storied reputation as launching pad for some of the most creative musicians on the popular music scene.

How cool is that?  And why hasn't the Detroit Symphony Orchestra started to do more of the same?

I was happy to see the two musical worlds collide with such a cool result, but I was THRILLED that they didn't just stay with the mainstream hits.  The Seattle Symphony also hooked up a classical version of "Posse On Broadway".
