Jeff Carter and Trevor Lewis scored two goals apiece to lead the Los Angeles Kings over the New Jersey Devils 6-1 on Monday night, giving the West Coast franchise its first ever Stanley Cup by winning the best-of-seven series four games to two.

The Detroit Red Wings lost the first game of their opening round playoff series against Nashville, but Wings fans have plenty of motivation going into game two. In the final seconds of the first game Shea Weber shoved Henrik Zetterberg's face into the glass, which even in hockey, is illegal.  Everyone expected a suspension, but that's not the way things ended up.

Have you ever heard the saying, "I went to a fight, and a hockey game broke out"?  That's exactly what happened last night between the Devils and Rangers.

Hockey is the only sport in the world where something like this could happen without anyone getting in trouble. Cam Fowler blasts the ref with the puck after the ref made a series of bad calls.

A brawl erupted after the NHL Winter Classic hockey game in Philly-- one person ended up in the hospital. A group of Flyers fans and Rangers fans started going at it outside Geno's, the cheesesteak landmark in south Philly.
