The Detroit Lions season ended yesterday in a heart breaker that left most Lions fans asking about the pass interference call that never happened.

Let's just be clear about two things here.

1. There is no doubt that the refs screwed up, should never have picked up the flag.

2. The Lions can't blame the loss entirely on that missed call, considering they didn't play very well in the fourth quarter.

With that being said, everyone pretty much agrees that the refs messed up the call, including the former rules official Mike Pereira.

One of the incidents that has flown under the radar because of this blown call is another missed call.  When the officials first threw the flag for pass interference, Dez Bryant ran onto the field of play, without a helmet.  This is a rule that is strictly enforced by the NFL, and normally is flagged as unsportsmanlike conduct in a heartbeat.

So why wasn't Bryant flagged?
