The Kansas City Royals gave Austin Sides the honor of throwing out the first pitch at a game this week, but that was nothing compared Austin saw after he threw it.

It was already Austin's dream to throw out a pitch before a Royals game, but what he didn't know was that the catcher was someone he knew.

The catcher was his dad, Air Force Major Robert Sides, who was back home from active duty.  Austin didn't know that.  All Austin knew was that he had better throw a better ball than 50 cent did.

The look on Austins face when he realizes that his dad was behind the catchers mask, is one of those looks that makes you stop what you are doing, and think about how important your family is . . . then immediately look around to make sure nobody saw you crying.
