While we can't know for sure whether dogs really dream—we've asked ours a hundred times, can't get a clear answer—it's hard to reach any other conclusion after watching these pooches.

There's the barking, the mumbling and, of course, the lying-on-their-side running which, in at least one case, leads to the dog actually getting up and smashing into a wall ... while still sleeping. Let's just hope they're a little more successful chasing down those squirrels in their dreams than they are in real life.
