A Seattle woman had a ceremony to marry her beloved building yesterday, to try and save it from demolition.

The building is a 107-year-old warehouse, and the woman and her Occupy friends have been using the building for protests.

She calls the wedding a "a gay marriage".

She said,

"If corporations can have the same rights as people, so can buildings. I'm doing this to show the building how much I love it, how much I love community space and how much I love this neighborhood. And I want to stop it from gentrification."

Her wedding plans haven't stopped the demotion crew, though. They already started tearing it down last week. An apartment building will be taking its place.
