I really hope the City of Flint will receive the money from the State because we need it so bad. More police officers would be the firs thing I spend the money. Then get throw a party in the mayors office. LOL I'm just playing but we will party. Its going to be called the Get this Money party.

FLINT, Michigan — The city of Flint's request to borrow $20 million to cover its budget deficit is in state hands.

The state treasurer's office received the city's application for a "fiscal stabilization bond" on Friday, and Mayor Dayne Walling said he met with state Treasurer Andy Dillon on Tuesday.

The city is now waiting to hear when the application will go before the State Administrative Board, which will approve or deny the request.

Walling said today he's optimistic the application will be approved and the funds will be available to the city in March.
