A Swedish start-up company called "Epicenter" has developed a small microchip that can be implanted in your hand to read your current vaccination status. The idea is to make it easier for people to carry their vaccine passports by always having it under their skin.

This sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie, but no it's actually real. The microchip is the size of a grain of rice and can be implanted in the arm, finger, hand where ever you want really. This was an idea being pushed around way before the pandemic hit to replace key fobs and wallets.  Now, this Swedish company is making it a reality.

"Implants are a very versatile technology that can be used for many different things," says Epicenter's Chief Disruption Officer Hannes Sjöblad in the video. "Right now it is very convenient to have a COVID passport always accessible on your implant." Source:NBC25.com

I can imagine this won't go over easy for a lot of people right away. But I do see potential down the road. We're already connected to our devices on another level. I don't know anyone that doesn't leave their home without a phone, with is pretty much another organ now. It's almost more important than your wallet. Seriously try leaving your phone at home and wait for the panic to overtake your entire body. It proves that we're slowly but surely converging with technology. I don't know what is in store for the future but, wouldn't this be the next logical step?
