Timbaland had an eventful time last night, but it wasn't without some new reveals. The superproducer was getting the crowd ready for Jay Z during his Magna Carta tour stop in Belgium when he once again previewed '4 Horsemen' featuring Drake and Hov.
Well, a bet is a bet. Last week, Arsenio Hall made a wager with Nelly on his late night show. If the Dodgers beat the St. Louis Cardinals (Nelly's hometown team) in the NCLS, Nelly would have to return to the show to perform 'Country Grammar.' If the Cardinals win, Hall would have to perform the same song while wearing a Cardinals jersey.
There's been plenty of great albums inspired by broken relationships: a good portion of Eminem's 'Marshall Mathers LP,' Marvin Gaye's 'Here, My Dear' and Nas' 'Life Is Good.' For a while, Usher's diamond-selling 'Confessions' was thought to belong in that line of projects. TLC's Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas says that's not the case.
DJ Khaled's 'Suffering From Success' is dropping next week and the tracks have been coming a plenty recently. The past couple of days saw the release of 'I Feel Like Pac/I Feel Like Biggie' (which angered Mase), 'I'm Still' and 'You Don't Want These Problems' -- which even you may have a credit on.
Timbaland has had a great year so far with production credits on Justin Timberlake's 'The 20/20 Experience' and Jay Z's 'Magna Carta Holy Grail.' However the same can't be said for his married life as his wife is divorcing him.
While people were marinating on just what happened at last night's BET Awards, Nelly and Future's performance on 'Arsenio' aired aired as well. The two performed 'Give U Dat,' a rap ballad that's similar to what we heard in 2002's 'Dilemma.' Perhaps the more interesting part about his appearance on the show was the bet he made with Arsenio Hall before his performance.
Danny Brown's breakout album 'XXX' and the now-streaming 'Old' are both split into two halves. While the former started with drug-fueled absurdity before segueing into introspection, 'Old' flips the formula. The first half isn't just introspection though; Brown therapeutically reveals the harsh details of coming up in Detroit before getting wild on the project's second half.
Pusha T's 'My Name Is Name' is the last scheduled major rap release this year beside Eminem's 'Marshall Mathers LP 2' in November. Pusha's solo debut did better than Drake's 'Nothing Was the Same' in the leaks department, as only a few snippets and officially released singles were heard up to this point. Now 'MNIMN' is available for streaming courtesy of Myspace.
