‘Rogue One’ Had a Ton of Voice Acting Cameos, Including a Bunch from ‘Clone Wars’ and ‘Star Wars Rebels’
The fun thing about a sci-fi franchise as big as Star Wars is how everyone wants to be in it. There are a ton of “secret” cameos in the two newest films — the most high profile of which, so far, is Daniel Craig as that Stormtrooper in The Force Awakens — but Rogue One also got its share. There are a ton of voice cameos in the movie, most of which are from members of the filmmaking crew and voice actors who usually lend their talents to the Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels animated series.
‘Alien: Covenant’ Will Feature at Least One Dimly Lit Hallway, Plus Another Mysterious Code
We don’t have a trailer for Alien: Covenant yet (she wrote, wth a frustrated sigh) but we’ve been getting plenty of images from the folks at Fox that seem to be teasing a trailer release. The latest one, released through the “Alien Anthology” Twitter account, features one of those fun dark hallways that xenomorphs love to lurk in while they’re hunting their human prey.
‘The Founder’ Clip: Michael Keaton Sells McDonald’s to the McDonalds
The Founder shows us the untold story of how McDonald’s-the-restaurant was swindled away from McDonalds-the-brothers by a very savvy businessman by the name of Ray Kroc. He’s portrayed by Michael Keaton in the film, who manages to look and sound less trustworthy than whatever kind of meat Big Macs are made out of. In this new clip, we get to see Kroc in action as he details his sweeping plans for the future burger franchise.
Get Your First Look at the Human Versions of the Castle Staff from ‘Beauty and the Beast’
Everyone knows how Beauty and the Beast starts off — a haughty prince refuses to give shelter to an old lady who turns out to be a fairy, who then curses him and his whole castle, turning him into a monster and his staff into inanimate objects. Well, the inanimate objects are still pretty animate, able to talk and dance and sing at poor Belle, who should be checking her food for hallucinogens rather than singing along, but who cares, this is a Disney movie. For those of you dying to see the rest of the castle’s inhabitants in their more flesh-and-blood forms, they’re human again in a new poster standee for the movie.
Adam Driver Doesn’t Want Any Trailers for ‘Star Wars: Episode 8’
Trailers are huge events these days. Just last weekend, The Fate of the Furious took over Times Square in New York City to play the highly anticipated trailer on 33 huge billboards at once. It seems like every new blockbuster has released a trailer in the last couple of weeks. But what if they stopped doing that? What if Star Wars, for example, refused to show any footage of the Episode VIII until you’re sitting there in the theater? Adam Driver wouldn’t complain.
‘A United Kingdom’ Trailer: You’re Tearing This Diplomatic Alliance Apart!
After a starring role as Martin Luther King Jr. in Ava DuVernay’s Selma, David Oyelowo is playing another historical figure alongside Rosamund Pike in A United Kingdom, a drama based on the real life story of Botswana’s King Seretse Khama and his British wife Ruth Williams.
Rumor: ‘Star Wars: Episode 8’ Could Feature a Practical-Effects Supreme Leader Snoke
With Rogue One just around the corner, are we all getting snoked — uh, I mean — stoked for Episode VIII? By the time we get to see it, it’ll have been two years since we last caught up with Finn, Rey, Poe, BB-8, and the rest of the gang who are all set to return for the next installment. And we can’t forget the villains: Kylo Ren will probably play a huge part in the next episode, as will Captain Phasma. But what about a certain extremely tall Supreme Leader, who seems to be pulling the strings behind the First Order? We’ll see him too, but he might look a little different.
An X-Wing Crashed in the Middle of Hollywood Boulevard for the ‘Rogue One’ Premiere
If your West Coast roadtrip plans take you anywhere in the vicinity of Hollywood Boulevard, maybe ask Siri to reroute you, on account of a giant X-Wing fighter that’s just materialized in the middle of the road. Well, it didn’t exactly come out of nowhere — this is all ahead of Los Angeles’ Rogue One premiere on Saturday at the Pantages Theater. Had you forgotten that this movie was coming out?? Not anymore, sucka! Now there’s a giant spaceship between you and your favorite avocado toast cafe.

‘Fist Fight’ Trailer: Ice Cube Really Wants to Punch Charlie Day in the Face
More often than not, schoolteachers have just as much beef with each other as the students they teach. Acting like models of excellence in front of 30 or 40 kids a day has got to be exhausting, and sometimes we all just need to let off some steam. A movie starring both Charlie Day and Ice Cube — not to mention Tracy Morgan, Jillian Bell, and Christina Hendricks — hardly has to be marketed, but Warner Bros. has just released their second trailer for next year’s Fist Fight.
‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ Trailer Is Here, and We Hope Optimus Is Okay
It’s big, it’s loud, it’s here: feast your eyes on the first trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight! After a truly weird production period that involved dragons, King Arthur, igniting the ire of British vets by dressing up Winston Churchill’s childhood home as a Nazi headquarters, and the usual level of Bayhem, we finally have our very first glimpse of the fifth installment in the inexplicably popular franchise.
