Magic Johnson came home to Michigan this week to show his support for the future of High School students in Saginaw.

Magic has been a huge supporter of the Saginaw Promise scholarship program, and continued that support by donating $123,000 of his own money!   Another $200,000 was raised at the event Tuesday night. Johnson told the crowd, "Everything you do, you have to do it the right way."  The money raised will help students cover a two or four year degree at a public or private college in Michigan.

Magic's Food and maintenance company, Sodexo Magic, rolled out its "A to Z salad bar." It highlights the importance of eating well and nutrition. The company contracted with Saginaw Public Schools back in 2011.
