If you take I-75 to get to southern Genesee County or Detroit during your morning commute, you will be experiencing some delays starting today.

Construction crews will resurface 19 miles from the Genesee/Oakland County line to the I-475 north junction.

The multimillion dollar project will have up to three lanes of traffic closed during the night time hours, and they could remain closed during the day to accommodate work time.

The project also includes some surface streets, and bridges that have already begun.

While everyone agrees that the roadwork is desperately needed, nobody likes the idea of sitting in traffic on their way to and from work.

The roadwork is expected to run the entire Summer, into September.
