In a secretly recorded video that was released by a liberal website, Mitt Romney has some interesting statements about 47 percent of voters.

He told a small group of donors:

There are 47% who are with [President Obama], who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it". I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."

Mitt is referring to the almost 47% of people who do not pay Federal Taxes, mostly including those living under the poverty level.  Even though most of that group does pay payroll taxes.

Romney took some time yesterday to do some damage control and respond to the flack he had been catching for his statements.

He said, "It doesn't capture the question, so I don't know precisely what was asked, but I think it was about my campaign and how I'd be able to get the majority of voters to support me."

The Republican presidential nominee asked for the entire video to be released. He said that it was not "elegantly stated" and that he was "speaking off the cuff."
