A new lawsuit has been filed against Ryan Leslie by a businessman who wants a $1.18 million reward, which he won in a legal case against the R&B producer last November.

According to the New York Daily News, Armin Augstein, a German auto shop owner, filed a motion in Manhattan Supreme Court Monday (June 10) asking state judges to order Leslie to pay the money through the singer’s company Les Is More.

Augstein alleges that the producer created Les Is More to replace NextSelection in order to hide his assets and wouldn’t have to pay the hefty judgment.

The case stems from an incident in Germany in which Leslie’s backpack, which had his laptop, an external hard drive, jewelry and cash, was stolen out of his vehicle. The producer offered a $1 million reward for the laptop, which he valued due to the songs that were on the hard drive.

The laptop was found by Augstein, and he was expecting his $1 million payday. But Leslie refused to pay the reward on the grounds that the valuable computer files had been corrupted.

In November 2012, a jury agreed in favor of Augstein and ordered Lesile to pay the $1 million award plus interest.

Attorneys for both Augstein and Lesile had no comment on the matter.
