Producers of the Aaliyah biopic have finally locked down actors who will play Timbaland and Missy Elliott in the Lifetime movie.

Zendaya has dropped out of the planned Lifetime biopic of the late R&B singer Aaliyah.

While going through my Facebook newsfeed, I found a video of three guys covering Aaliyah's 'One In A Million.'  I know what I think of their attempt to cover the hit song but I want to hear from you.  Do they get a Flint pass?

Today (Jan. 16) marks what would've been the 35th birthday of R&B queen Aaliyah, who tragically passed away on Aug. 25, 2001, in a plane crash in the Bahamas. Remember all the hubbub in 2012, surrounding Drake's the posthumous Aaliyah album he was set to executive produce? Well, there's still no word if that's happening, but it looks like the OVO leader still has material with the late singer on the way.

Jay-Z and Timbaland have made countless hit records throughout the years and now they reunite on Roc Nation's record label.  Without explicit details of the deal, it seems that Timbaland signed an artist deal. Regardless of the deal, we're happy the two are back together.

Just a few days after what would have been her 34th birthday, an unreleased Aaliyah track has surfaced online. The song titled 'Quit Hatin' features the late songbird's smokey vocals over a contemporary productions.

It seems like everyone knows about the upcoming posthumous Aaliyah album … except for Missy Elliott. The veteran rapper who has collaborated with the late songbird seems to be out of the loop when it comes to the project that Drake and his producer Noah “40″ Shebib are co-executive producing.

It was reported last week that Drake and his longtime producer Noah “40″ Shebib were co-executive producing the posthumous Aaliyah project amid some controversy. During an interview with MuchMusic, the Young Money superstar confirmed that an album is in the works.

Ever since it was rumored that Drake is executive producing Aaliyah‘s posthumous album, fans have been wondering what the late songbird’s family thought of this idea. According to Rolling Stone, they don’t want no part of it.

After Drake released his Aaliyah duet ‘Enough Said‘ over the Internet, many are still wondering if Timbaland would be involved in the anticipated posthumous album. Well, the answer is yes, Timbo will be working on the project.

Drake has always proclaimed his love for the late Aaliyah, and has even sampled her music before. The rumors that he might make a posthumous album from Aaliyah have some people upset though. Regardless he and '40' have released a new track called 'Enough Said'.
