The first 'Mott Park Lantern Festival' is set to kick off this Sunday in Flint, and it will have the city sky looking like something out of a fairytale.

The new lantern festival is part of a continuing effort by Imagine Flint, to bring art and culture to Flint.  Eric Hinds is the festival director and described this Sunday's event.

"We're going to light the whole golf course up with lanterns that are going to go flying off with all of our hopes and imagination for the city, and it's just going to be a wonderful event."

The goal is that the scene will look like the Disney movie Tangled.

I know that my family will be at the festival Sunday night, and hopefully this is another step in a positive direction for Flint.
