The Jeffery A. Wilson Scholarship is a great chance for someone to get a jump start on college, while honoring one of the best people I've ever met.

You only meet one Jeff Wilson in your lifetime, and I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time with Jeff. We worked together at Club 93.7 for more than a decade. Jeff was known by many names, but most people identified him as Jeff with two F's.

I could write pages about the type of person Jeff was, but since he passed away, I always seem to lose my words. I will say that Jeff was the kind of person that we should all try to be.

Along with his countless hours at Club, Jeff was also a full time substitute teacher in Flint. Jeff also earned the unofficial title of neighborhood hero. He was constantly looking for ways to engage kids in his neighborhood.

One of Jeff's best friends, Randall Wilburn, had the vision to help Jeff's legacy live on through the things he loved. Randall set up the Jeffery A. Wilson Scholarship for kids looking to get into teaching or broadcasting.

The deadline to apply is coming up on May 3rd, so if you would like to apply here are the criteria.
