Amazon is setting up a new center right here in Michigan and will soon be hiring at least 1,000 workers for the distribution warehouse.

Retail online giant Amazon is expanding its distribution centers and will be looking to hire 1,000 new workers for their future center in Southeast Michigan.

The new building will be in Livonia, MI and Amazon expects to make an investment of nearly $90 million.

Michigan was picked as the next Amazon distribution center after the company considered locations in both Ohio and Indiana.

The online retail website has employed over 200,000 people worldwide. Amazon also has 150 employees working out of an office space in Detroit, MI.
