A Mt. Morris woman was arrested on Thursday night protesting at the White House.

According to the Detroit Free Press, it happened after President Obama gave his speech on immigration. The Secret Service said its officers arrested 23-year-old April Lenhart of Mt. Morris. Lenhart was participating in a demonstration along the north side of the White House when officers spotted her carrying a holstered handgun.

Lenhart now faces charges of having an unregistered firearm and ammunition, along with carrying a pistol without a license. A Secret Service spokesperson said Lenhart made no statement and it wasn't clear whether she yet had an attorney.
