The meetings are designed to give drivers the general overview, and there will be a chat section where drivers can ask specific questions.

This is a much needed resource that the state is providing because the insurance changes are confusing. I tried to talk to my agent about the best options for me considering that I will have kids driving in the near future, and by the end of it we both were like . . .

This is a tough situation because I don't think any of us knew that the transition to new insurance policies would be so confusing. Luckily the DIFS has tried to be as helpful as possible for both drivers and agents. Along with the town halls, they have a Q & A hotline set up for drivers to call. Calls being answered Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. - 833-ASK-DIFS (275-3437), email at autoinsurance@michigan.gov.

There is another town hall for insurance agents happening on Thursday July 30th at Noon. You can join that meeting by clicking here.
